I made a thousand dollar mistake last week.
I left my passport at home – using my passport card to travel. This was a huge mistake.
None of the fail safes on anyone else end worked. I wasn’t stopped at the airport, by the TSA, by anyone, and I was let through only to be sent back home by the customs agents in the Dominican Republic for not having the card.
This invalidated my airplane ticket – and I was back in the states, in my room, a little over 12 hours after I left for my flight.
With that said, after rectifying the mistake – repurchasing the plane tickets and getting back there, I had one of the best vacations in my life.
Money is money – experience is everything.
