The term “killing your darlings” is something that takes some time to understand as a creative. It leaves you with a smaller room for error.
But! It opens you up for a new challenge, and generally, your mind is good enough to make good on the things we present it if we trust it.
We always can increase those percentages by doing the work – the boring things, the mundane, checking the t’s and crossing the i’s. These chances, even in failure lead us to a place where we haven’t been before, usually a better place.
With that said, there is no way to make it 100%. But that’s part of the appeal of being a creative -no?
