Switch It Up, Break Consistency

Big sweeping changes, they happen, but there is no consistency. You can’t control eureka. 

You can control smaller things that are designed to break consistency. A few:

  • Take a different way to work
  • Choose a different bedtime
  • Turn off (or turn on) the TV when you get home
  • Read a random book
  • Wander in a book store in a section you don’t read, and look at the table of contents/ index
  • Go to a conference you wouldn’t go to
