Big sweeping changes, they happen, but there is no consistency. You can’t control eureka.
You can control smaller things that are designed to break consistency. A few:
- Take a different way to work
- Choose a different bedtime
- Turn off (or turn on) the TV when you get home
- Read a random book
- Wander in a book store in a section you don’t read, and look at the table of contents/ index
- Go to a conference you wouldn’t go to
