I don’t think New York City is the place to start anything.
Too many times, through any venture I take – I see people getting swallowed up here – usually because they have no basis of the work and no mentor to tag along.
You build on a foundation there, where ever you’re from and take that to New York to learn how to fail gracefully and iterate.
The number one thing you New York teaches you is failure – and if you aren’t prepared for it, you will find yourself hating something you weren’t completely ready for.
