I.
I have a need to be needed, like we all do. I always think I am alone in the world, passing from group to group – but the more I learn about the world, the more I learn we all feel like that.

I was in a party. I found consolation in my drink when things got uncomfortable. Moments of light when I broke through and met new people, shaking hands and bringing smiles. I want to do that more and look at my drink less.

All in all a great party and learning experience.

II.
Resistance is an interesting dance partner. Small things turn into large ones. Phantom’s appear and your depression suddenly has the vitamins it needs to really take over.

Practice mindfulness and compassion. These are two very difficult skills and will require help in maximizing – especially when watching my journey right now.

It’s easy to be average – but to push yourself to the next level, you have to sit in the world that makes no sense to normal people.

Its time to get a coach.

PS –
There was a car accident featuring Tracy Morgan – and inside his car were Harris Stanton, Ardie Fuqua, and Jimmy Mack. Jimmy Mack didn’t make it, passing away early this morning. My thoughts are with the other comics and hoping they make a speedy recovery.

Take the time to realize how quick this whole thing can end. If you have something on your mind – do it. As much as we like to think things are under our control and we will get to them – it doesn’t quite work out that way.
