Trying?
Are you pushing yourself?
What is holding you back?
Seriously, why?
We only get one go of this, let’s make it count.
Are you pushing yourself?
What is holding you back?
Seriously, why?
We only get one go of this, let’s make it count.
Just start.
The conversation moves when you to.
Sometimes it’s just best when you are at a crossroad to scream YAHOO! And get to it.
Don’t over think it, trust that you’ll figure it out on the way.
Right now.
You know what it is. When you read it, if you are alone, I want you to say it.
” ______ is stopping me”
Then I want you to go for it. Write down one thing that can help you get over the hump.
That’s it. One thing.
It may be the engine that starts the change you seek to make.
Good luck.
Shipped today. Give it a read.
Strategy gives you flexibility and a position to pivot from, as well as a method to communicate that with your team.
Remembering that:
- Rulesets affect implementation, not direction.
- The goal comes first, everything else is ego
- Get it out of your head, then commit.
Helps you, as a product person, keep communication and trust high. As a result, you’ll ship well and more importantly, with consistency.
No. The people around you don’t care, especially if the following is true:
If you are reliable, interested, and curious, people trust you. So when you have to disappear to get something done, they aren’t thinking about you. They know you bring the goods.
If you earn trust, feel free to use it.
The only thing you can’t stop doing are the three things above.
I have apps like freedom on my phone that block out the entire internet because I know I don’t have the self-control just to sit and type. Sometimes it’s hard for me to work.
The work I turn out because of that app doesn’t have a unique mark on it. You don’t get any bonus points for making things hard on yourself.
I don’t care if you:
You do whatever it takes to get the work done.
You’ve crossed all your “t’s” and dotted all your “i’s”.
You’ve checked the work three times.
You’ve made all the arrangements.
There is no more preparing to do.
Now it’s time to ship it out the door and into the world.
Go!
For me, it was simple. 10 Minutes. 10 Minutes a day to call, write, figure out what my day week and month will hold.
Now — what does that 10 Minutes mean? Well — that will have to be for another time 🙂
Find the direction you need to go in.
Take 10 minutes, look at all the variables – who is important, who is interesting, what are my goals, what can I achieve, who are the gate keepers, what are my requirements, and who around me can help.
After that 10 minutes is up – just go. Dedicate a few minutes a day to that – say 10 minutes, moving in that direction.
It’s amazing what can be done in a month.
