The fear that lies in state sanctioned violence is deeper than one body. This is what people apart of the “all lives matter” and “blue lives matter” don’t consider. Each one of these murders is a reminder to the representative population that the law might not matter. It’s an extra burden, one where each person of the representative population has to leave cognitive space to consider if they are dying just for insisting that they have the rights in the first place.
Or even the idea that they might die anyway.
