What’s Stopping You?

What is it?

When you look at yourself in the mirror every morning, is there a nagging thought?

So, have you ever explored it?

If you haven’t, there is an opportunity each time you catch yourself going to that place.

Write it down.

Keep a notepad in your room and write that thought.

Don’t do anything else. Just write it down.

The thing about our mind is, that “thing” travels with us and inside of our mind all day. So, it hides among other thoughts, waiting for an opportune time to show up.

The idea can’t hide in the open.  Therefore, when you write, you snatch it’s hiding spot.

No Gym Today

Plane day – no train day.

I have to change that…I don’t feel good when I don’t work out.

You Don’t Have To Succumb To A Crisis

This is a rather interesting predicament.

The train I am currently on, as I write this post, has been thrice delayed. A trip that was supposed to take 2 hours and have me enjoying my holiday has me on this train for now close to 6.

With that said, opportunity comes to those who seek it – even through crisis.

Instead of cruising the internet, I took the time to finish “The Obstacle Is the Way” from Ryan Holiday and it – in quite short order – has become a book I will now recommend without fail.

The book has given me a little more of an idea of why many of us, me included, stay on this hamster wheel of mediocrity – instead of growing and becoming the best versions of ourselves that we can be.

“The Obstacle Is the Way” is concise, smart, direct, and isn’t wrapped around pleasantries that weaker titles build themselves around.

This isn’t a book made for people who want to get a pat on the head – but for people who want to start down a path of control, of getting work done, and of making a true difference in this world.

If you have 3 hours – you can seldom do better than taking the time to read this book.

Tough Weekend

This weekend reminded me that I have a long way to go – as a person who wishes to be a communicator.

I will say though – the difference between my past and now is that there is identification. This isn’t just a random occurance, or why I am sad or it is what it is – I am able to identify the issues at hand.

Hopefully this will lead to something better – getting myself in front of things, and making it all work. I have a lot of work to do – but at least I am beginning to see where it is.
