Take a Break

Schedule the Vacations in Advance

If you have the opportunity, try to schedule your days off in advance.

How does it help?

  • It helps you manage your energy. If you know a break is coming, it’s easier to keep your energy up.
  • You have something to look forward to. You know you have a few days to do some fun things.
  • Events. Schedule them out, so you have new experiences happening. Avoid Entropy!

Get in front of it so you can have some fun.

Sometimes You Get Tired

You get tired sometimes.

Tired of everything around you. The pressure of life. Problems, real and imaginary to others, weigh on you. Life can hurt. People can hurt. The world turns and it feels like you burn. Taking the subway is aching, just aching. You feel surrounded, suffocated, not well in a world where everyone else is ok.

Well, I wish I could help you with that. Hell – I wish you could help me with that. It is something that I have to deal with often. Fighting that grass is greener syndrome, this time its different syndrome, and the world will decide my attitude syndrome is a daily battle I have to try to focus on everyday.

When I detach, I do get some of the energy back. I get a refill. The world seems to start to make sense again. I don’t know if that is the lifestyle for me, full detachment, because I get restless after a while. A week away starts off like paradise, then by day 5 I yearn the pressure.

Perhaps that is the cure – a quarterly detachment. But I still get tired sometimes.
